Darryl Grater is the Executive Head for Distribution Services at Discovery Insure, responsible for distribution nationally across personal and business insurance; he was previously also Head of Claims, Procurement, Strategic Projects, Intermediary Services, and Business Development at various periods. A strong believer in the value of insurance and its positive impact on society, he is actively involved in the insurance market as an Executive Councillor and Immediate Past President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng, as well as being a founding member and first Chairman of the Insurance Young Guns. Darryl received top student awards at Wits Business School for both the MAP Programme (Executive Education) as well as their Masters Programme (with specialization in Strategic Marketing). He is a proud South African who lives between Cape Town and Johannesburg, an avid gym enthusiast, a dreamer, father of twins, always striving for better results, and inspired by the enormous possibilities the global community has to offer.
