Mugove Nyimo
Brief Bio Mugove Nyimo is the current Head of Insurance for Absa Regional Operations (ARO). He is accountable for both Life & Short Term Insurance entities in Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique and Zambia as well as the insurance distribution in the markets Absa does not have a manufacturing presence. He has over 20 years financial services experience, having started his career as an Underwriter. He is a former Chief Underwriter for Swiss Re. His other previous roles include MD of Instant Life, MD Absa Life Zambia & Head of Life for Innovation Group. Mugove holds a BComm in Risk Management, and his post graduate diploma and MBA are from University of Cape Town. He is also a fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa. He is a better runner than he is a golfer, and where opportunity arises enjoys participating in lecturing at Business Schools.
