Answer: I have the same question after 6 weeks of waiting for my edger ECA850 attachment to come in. Both the Trimmer plus attachment and my Husqvarna 128ld have male attachment lugs at the connection point. Unfortunately they don’t connect.

Answer: It will fit “consumer-grade” husqvarna (i.e. all the cheap ones with the FEMALE socket), but the “pro grade” husqvarna models (have a star-drive MALE socket) don’t accept universal attachments.
Can you put a saw blade on a Husqvarna 128LD?
Husqvarna designed these units without blade capabilities and has never offered a metal blade or adapter to install on this unit. If you feel you need the capabilities of a metal blade you should look at the larger 300 series of trimmers as you can use a grass blade on these.

I contacted Husqvarna for clarification and they verified that newer models all use 50:1 but some older models do in fact require 40:1.
